Mid North Coast Youth Orchestra

Connecting young musicians across the Mid North Coast to share a love of orchestral music — welcoming, inclusive, and driven by our community.

2025 concert

Overview

Founded in 2014, the Mid North Coast Youth Orchestra (MNCYO) is a not-for-profit organisation. We bring together youth musicians from across the region to rehearse and perform together in a supportive, community-led environment.

We welcome string, wind, brass, and percussion players who want to grow their ensemble skills and be part of something bigger. New musicians are always welcome — follow us on social media for the latest news and come say hello at rehearsal.

Coastal Strings

Coastal Strings is our strings-focused pathway within MNCYO — ideal for violin, viola, cello, and double bass players who want to build confidence in section playing and chamber-style work alongside the full orchestra program.

It complements our main ensemble: same community spirit, with repertoire and coaching tailored to developing string technique and ensemble listening. Ask the committee or conductors how Coastal Strings fits with your goals when you get in touch.
